This notice is to advise you that the Cooperative Oriental Fruit Fly Project has ended. Eradication of the Oriental fruit fly in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties has been declared and all quarantine regulations are no longer enforced as of August 11, 2024.
This notice serves to cancel all current compliance agreements and hold notices between your business, establishment, or household and the Cooperative Oriental Fruit Fly Project effective August 11, 2024.
The detection, quarantine and eradication efforts have been a cooperative project between the San Bernardino County Agricultural Commissioner’s office, the Riverside County Agricultural Commissioner’s office, the California Department of Food and Agriculture, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
We sincerely appreciate the cooperation you have given to our agricultural inspectors in their ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of this potentially devastating agricultural pest.
